Below is an overview of each of the eight associations who make-up the Mid Atlantic Conference Safety Conference.  These organizations have combined their resources in an effort to address the needs of those with a vested interest in construction safety.  Click on their logos for more details about each.

    Giving Construction Professionals the Competitive Advantage
  The D.C. Metropolitan Subcontractors Association's mission is "to represent the concerns and interest of construction subcontractors and suppliers and to promote fair business practices throughout the industry by providing factual information, business education, governmental advocacy and liaison with related groups and agencies."
The Washington Metropolitan Area Construction safety Association (WMACSA) was founded in 1972 by the late Fred Foote and is registered as a nonprofit corporation in Maryland since 1975. Monthly meetings are held over dinner where contractors and construction workers can discuss mutual problems in preventing injuries and accidents on construction projects. WMACSA members can receive Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for seminar attendance, benefit from training sessions and site tours. WMACSA brings in guest speakers of reputation, officers and trainers offer classes such as a complimentary OSHA 10-hour to those members interested.Founded in 1911, ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers) is the oldest and largest professional safety organization. Its more than 30,000 members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. The National Capital Chapter of ASSE was chartered in 1948 and covers the District of Columbia, and in Maryland, Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties and the Southern Maryland Region.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington is a non-profit organization that represents the interests of more than 560 contractors, specialty contractors, and suppliers throughout the Washington metropolitan area who support and believe in the principles of merit shop and open competition.

Established in 1923, the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, Chapter of the National Safety Council, provides safety & health training in Delaware, Maryland and the Washington D.C. Metro Area. CRSC is a non-profit organization offering a variety of occupational safety & health, emergency care, traffic safety and safety certificate courses as well as Instructor Development Programs.
The Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council was founded in 1998 as a network for construction safety professionals in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to promote and implement the highest standards in the construction safety industry through educational resources, oversight and ethics.  We are a non-profit, volunteer organization.  We offer construction safety training courses and participate as a member of the OSHA Mid-Atlantic OTI Education Center Consortium.

The Northern Virgina Chapter of ASSE was chartered in 2006 after splitting from the National Capital Chapter and ging a construction section.  NOVA covers the northern Virginia region.
